Gefyra, concessionaire of the Rion-Antirrion bridge, is getting ready to serve the high number of drivers who will take the road for the Easter holidays. As the main gateway to the natural and cultural wonders of Peloponnese & Western Greece, the Rio-Antirrio Bridge has been forecasted for a traffic between 22.000 and 27.000 vehicles per day during this year’s Easter exodus peak days.
Consistently, with VINCI Highways’ quality strategy of service, Gefyra is committed to its clients 24/7, 365 days of the year with permanent safety patrolling, free roadside assistance and smart technological surveillance systems. Going further for Easter to operate at maximum capacity, Gefyra has recruited 14 seasonal operators, trained to operate during peak days, and has upgraded two manual lanes so that they can also be used as e-pass lanes and serve both Gefyra’s subscribers as well as those of other Hellenic motorways. Gefyra will ensure the maximum presence of staff (up to 20 toll collectors on daily shifts) on the bridge to serve drivers.
Standing by the holidaymakers side and prepping them for a pleasant and smooth ride, Gefyra is launching this year a new campaign of “highway tips” that will share throughout the week across its social media channels and website:
Panos Loukas, CEO of Gefyra, stated: “Gefyra will operate at maximum capacity to welcome the increase of drivers on the Rion-Antirrio Βridge for the Easter holidays. Gefyra is ramping-up operations to provide the highest quality of service to drivers, as we consistently do throughout the year. We are happy to take on a new initiative by sharing important highway tips that will help travellers plan their trip, relax and enjoy their stay in the region”.
